Il Pigio

From October 4th to 6th, 2013 - Events, Poggibonsi

An event organized by the Neighborhoods Association. Begun in 2004, it was originally held in Poggibonsi the first Sunday in October and is a semi-historical re-enactment of how grapes were once pressed in the Chianti hill zones.

Vino al vino – Wine fair in Panzano

September, from 13th to 25th, 2013 - Events, Greve in Chianti

Wines from the Panzano area at an event organized by the Panzano grape-growers consortium, which for years has been promoting totally organic viticulture throughout the territory. Last year, together with the town council, it created the first Italian Organic Grape District.

Expo Chianti Classico – 43rd edition

From September 5th to 8th, 2013 - Events, Greve in Chianti

An event featuring winemakers from throughout Chianti Classico. Purchasing a tasting glass engraved with the number of the edition you can sample the wines from a selection of more than 50 exhibitors in the splendid setting of the Greve in Chianti piazza. Collateral events during the expo’s 4 days: music, entertainment, discussions and exhibits.

Festival and Parade

An event the town council organizes with the participation of the Greve’s traditional 8 neighborhoods. Over the years the town’s territory has divided into 8 “quarters”, taking their names from the place they represent: TORRE, PIAZZA, S. ANNA, IL PINO, LA FONTE, ETRUSCO, I CASTELLI, S. FRANCESCO. Every year a shared theme links the 8, whose inhabitants (more than 700 people) parade through town.
