One road, many different journeys through Gallo Nero territory
The Chianti Classico road has always existed. Through the centuries it passed from the Etruscans to the Romans to the opposing armies of Florence and Siena who fought in medieval times to conquer it.
Today it gives travelers along it the great history to which its miles testify, at the same time hosting those who from this greatness have drawn inspiration to work day by day with the passion and commitment that have made Gallo Nero land one of the most admired wine & food sources in the world.
On December 15, 2008 the Chianti Classico Wine and Oil Road became an association created to promote and valorize the “Road” of yesteryear, but above all that of today.
In a territory whose historic, artistic, wine and gastronomic excellence springs from nine communities in the provinces of Florence and Siena, the “Road” is an entity unifying not only geographic borders and former parochialisms but also the different businesses found along it; Chianti Classico wineries and olive oil producers, guest facilities, restaurants, artisans and everyone who, respecting the territory, through their work helps make the territory unique.
The road has always been here, but its treasures grow every day. To discover them, just travel it.
