Description
In the heart of Classic Chiantishire, in the splendid scenery of the hills of San Donato in Poggio, Casa Emma can be found, at an altitude of 420m above sea level, surrounded by 34 hectares of land. The 21 hectares cultivated with vineyards (mainly Sangiovese, about three hectares of Merlot, and small sections of black malmsey and canaiolo), and the three hectares of Olive groves and five hectares of Botanical park completely surround the historical farm house where one finds the wine making and maturation cellar. Then there is a series of areas used in the production process including our wine tasting room. We produce wine (Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Reserve, Soloio and Vin Santo), oil, extra virgin oil, Grappa, vinegar, and a series of delicious gastronomic preparations: wine gelatine, rose syrup and cooked wine. Our wines, exported worldwide, are enriched by the advice and mastery of the oenologist Carlo Ferrini, primarily because the passion for quality is at the base of our company’s philosophy.Chianti Classico production (hl): 600

NOTES - We have been dedicated to welcoming visitors for years (individuals and small groups) and explaining how, through hard work and patience, excellent wine is produced from the initial rows of vines. Touring from vienyards to cellars, finally you will taste our wines taken together with Tuscan sheep's cheese and salami from the Sienese belt, on the panoramic terrace immersed in the charming Tuscan countryside or in the tasting room. Our visits last about an hour and booking is necessary. Guests are always welcomed at Casa Emma, which has an open door policy even on Sundays, for those who want to taste and to buy our products. We are open everyday from 10.00 am. to 5.00 pm.GPS
